More Chicagoan than Illinoisian I honestly feel a stronger connection to my hometown of Chicago than I do to Illinois. I know that Illinois is very different from Chicago. I am a big city kid and am used to all the conveniences big cities offer. I lived in Memphis for two years and that place felt like a small town to me! The sight of the Sears Tower is more comforting than the sight of corn and soybeans.
